Symposium on Special Education Held at College of Basic Education
On December 1, 2024, the Department of Special Education at the College of Basic Education, in collaboration with the Dean of the College and sponsored by Republic Montessori International Kindergarten/Sulaimani, hosted a symposium titled “Current Situation of Special Education, Development, and Obstacles.” The event took place at 9:30 am in the Ismail Beşkçi Hall, College of Basic Education, in the presence of Prof. Hassan Fakhraddin, Dean of the College, and Prof. Adil Rashid, Assistant Dean, along with teachers and students from Sulaimani University.
This symposium was organized to celebrate the World Day of Children with Disabilities, a day designated by the United Nations. The event featured several important seminars presented by teachers and experts in the field, focusing on the current challenges and developments in special education. The discussions aimed to shed light on the obstacles faced by children with disabilities and explore strategies for their development and inclusion in society.
The symposium highlighted the commitment of the College of Basic Education and its partners to advancing the field of special education and promoting awareness of the needs and rights of children with disabilities.
